Denver isn’t just a city – it’s basically one giant dog park with a few skyscrapers scattered in. If you’re like me, a ‘night out’ isn’t a night out unless your best friend is tucked under the table. Here is the 2026 round-up of the best Denver hot spots for dog-friendly patios.
Stanley Marketplace (Aurora)
This hot spot in Aurora features FOUR different patios where you can chill with your dog:
- Grab a “thoughtfully roasted” coffee at Logan House café while sitting under the shade
- Pick from 51-taps and pour your own pint at Stanley Beer Hall or grab one of their award-winning burgers (their patio is huge!)
- For some delicious Mediterranean grub, eat on the patio at Boychik
- If you’re out to get some full sun, The Local Drive has a massive turf lawn, complete with Adirondack chairs, a volleyball court, and cornhole
Pro-Tip: What makes Stanley truly special is that it’s an indoor/outdoor hybrid. While dogs aren’t allowed inside the main marketplace building (where the shops are), the “Stanley Trail” wraps around the entire exterior, connecting all the patios and the massive park out back. It’s the perfect loop for a “sniffari” between rounds of drinks!
Once you are topped up on good food and cocktails, you can take your little buddy through the doggie door on the north side of the marketplace where there is a pet-friendly entrance to Bonez 4 Budz, a super cute pet enrichment boutique.
Recess Beer Garden (LoHi)
This adorable neighborhood restaurant in LoHi has a great patio where you can shove your piehole with onion rings as big as your face. There are communal, shaded picnic tables. And on hot days there are even overhead misters to cool you down! Noice!
Number Thirty Eight (RiNo)
Named so because Colorado is the 38th state (who knew?), this venue has a MASSIVE patio with all the things. Seriously, it’s 20,000 sq ft. There is varied seating throughout, shaded and unshaded, as well as volleyball and cornhole for those who can’t sit still. With big screen TVs outside, you can even bring your pup with you go watch the Nuggets win or the Rockies lose. (okay that was a low blow) But seriously check it out! I went there without my dog and I was legit sad about it.
The Patio at Sloan’s (Denver)
Does your dog love fried pickles and live music or is that just me? At The Patio on Sloan’s you can enjoy both! Leash up your your best boy and catch the sunset while you’re there. And they take dog-friendly to the next level. They even have dog food on the menu! Ask for the Bark Bowl.
Cherry Cricket (Cherry Creek)
This classic local haunt has been slinging beer and grilling made-to-order burgers since 1945. They offer happy hour deals five hours a day, seven days a week! The early happy hour is 2-5 pm and they have a late happy hour from 10 pm – 12 am. Apparently they are known for being “the black sheep of Cherry Creek.” I guess it’s not swanky enough to be, like, a regular sheep? But their burgers are legendary—try the Little Cricket while your pup enjoys the breeze. Their patio is on the smaller side so best not go with a group, but it’s dog friendly and sometimes that’s all you need. Less conversation. More pets.
FlyteCo Tower (Central Park)
This is a very unique venue in the former control tower of the Stapleton Airport. They have a huge outdoor patio where you can hang with your dog while your kids play mini golf outside. They also have a ton of games inside but as with all Denver venues serving foods, dogs are not allowed inside. (We’re not in France, unfortunately.) Choose from a variety of seating options – sun or shade, high or low tables, communal or private) and enjoy all of the surrounding landscaping that provides privacy from the surrounding streets.
Rare Bird (Cherry Creek)
Now this one requires a little more planning as they host their “Bird Dog” happy hour events once a month, the last Wednesday of each month, May – September. All of the dates for 2026 are published. What is even cooler is that proceeds of the event go to True Companion. The Bird Dog events feature dog-inspired fare so bring your pup and enjoy the rooftop view.

Skiptown (Denver)
If your pup really likes to run around off-leash and socialize with lots of other pups (a “pup-forward” happy hour, if you will), then Skiptown is the place. It’s basically a full-on dog park but you can enjoy a cocktail or coffee while you are there. And dog safety should always be a big concern with busy dog parks so it’s nice to know that they do have a vaccination requirement (Rabies, DHLPP, Bordetella) before your pup can visit their dog park. Dogs older than six months must be neutered or spayed. There is a seasonal splash pad and they even have staff monitor the playground area in order to keep it safe for all dogs and their humans. But for all these amenities, you will need to purchase a day pass or membership. If a human friend is meeting you there and doesn’t have a dog, no worries! They don’t have to pay to watch your dog run around.
Honestly, the list of dog-friendly patios in Denver is much longer than we have included here. But we’ve included a round-up of a few others, just without the write-up. These are all definitely worth adding to your list as well:
